TOKYO, Japan – August 9, 2012 – Boston Semi K.K., a subsidiary of Boston Semi Equipment LLC (BSE Group), and its partner, Showa Leasing Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan), a member of the Shinsei Bank Group, today announced the commencement of operating leasing activity in the Japanese semiconductor market. The partnership has placed approximately $5 million worth of equipment under lease for image sensor applications at a major test house in the Kyusyu area.

Boston Semi K.K. provides equipment valuation, flexible lease options and opportunities for customers to buy equipment from and sell to the secondary market. Together with Showa Leasing, the companies offer both flexible financing to customers as well as the purchase and sale of equipment in the secondary market. This is the first piece of business for the companies since their partnership was established late last year.
